Jelia's Quick Visit

Jelai, Julia and Jelia in the house! Jelai and Julia reunites with cousin from CDO. And it makes a picture perfect weekend. Here's the three of them all game in front of the camera, in bright colors and uniform kicks and poses!
Jelia looks dainty in yellow peplums and hot pants, while Julia sports the cheerleader skirt and polo shirt.

Now here's Jelai and Jelia in their version of "high fashion" poses. Jelai in a black croptop and bright pink pants.
Finally, here's the eldest Jelai striking a pose in one of her favorite outfits! Blue green and white and burloloys to the max! :)

Little Manobo Belle

It's August. Every Momma with pre-school tots and grade school kids know it's Buwan ng Wika. It's that time of the year when Mums are busy looking for Filipiniana costumes - mostly of the baro't saya-barong tagalog variety. Not this year for me, though. Pre-school tots in Jelai's school are hosting a Buwan ng Wika Fashion Show, and this year, Jelai's doing tribal Filipino with her partner Liam. And what luck! Our partner mommy has an incredible style idea that screams matchy matchy!

Here's my Little Manobo Belle on a see saw:
And here's her Fashion Show partner, the handsome Little Warrior Prince Liam.
Their costumes are just toooo adorable - matched down to the minutest detail! Complete with the feathers, accessories (that we all fondly call burloloys) and all. All thanks to Liam's lovely Mom.

On the other end of the see saw is the little Maldita, wearing (let's just say) Modern Filipina. Had to run around the park a couple of times because I just can't get this girl to stay put!

She wanted to take a photo with Ate. So here she is, in her pink get up, and in her most makulit smile.
Well, that's Buwan ng Wika/Family Fun Fair Day for us. It was our first time in a different school, a different attire peg, but definitely super awesome! :)

Sunday Adventures

Sundays are Family bond days. This is non negotiable. Today we celebrated Mama Daki's (my mom) birthday in advance. So the Buenavistas were all together today! :) Had my favorite David Dean's steak at Casa Verde, and my girls had chicken fingers. After lunch, we went out for a swim!
Here's Jelai in her favorite kicks and a simple blue dress. This was after lunch and she was very excited for pool!
Julia at Kishanta poolside wearing a black top, pink jeans, animal print shoes.
This is Jelai with Uncle Ace. Dressed this 11-year-old brother of mine today, too. He gets along really well with the girls.
Julia with her Tati, in blue green rompers.
And now, meet the ladies I actually grew up with - my sister and my cousin. The birthday girl is somewhere in that photo too. Their favorite hobby: spoiling the girls.
We all had such a fun day today. Loved the view..
The bonding...
And most of all the lalalove. This was a staycation, but this was humazing. Hope everyone had a great weekend too! Back to the grind tomorrow! :)

Animal Print Holiday

We were going to watch Inside Out today. But then we all hate having to wait a long time before getting tickets, so we decided against it. The girls were in the mood for a stroll before doing groceries so we did just that. No work today, so the kids are doing Fashion Friday - in Wild Wild Prints!
Rawr tiny leopard. She's not used to the crop top variety. She kept pulling her skirt up the whole time we were here!
I wouldn't know what was so amusing, maybe she has never seen water this color? :D Love the back detail on this terno. There's a ribbon there somewhere, actually.

She really was trying to look like an animal.
This one's actually a playsuit. And it's in hot pink! What's not to love?
Now here's a picture of my little posingera with her dad. Wouldn't you agree they do look alike? :)

You Can Call Me Princess

My 2-year-old's a diva. And she's the cutest little thing in my kingdom. It's funny how she is the complete opposite of her sister. Curly, tiny, girly, cutie. Her sister loves posing for the cam. This one likes candid shots better. And these are my favorite favorite Julia looks.
Playtime in a green polka dress from OshKosh, metallic pink doll shoes and a matching pink and green clip on to complete the look. She used to bring that old teddy bear all the time. Talk about cute.

So I did say I have a thing for Boho Chic. I found these lovely cardis at Mango with pretty boho prints and I thought they'd look good on both girls. So I got this for Julia, matched it with her yellow floral playsuit, and the sandals one of her Ninangs picked out for her.

Sugar loading at the office with my evil friends. To be fair, it was a Christmas party for the kids, and candy was all over the place! :) This denim jacket used to be Jelai's when she was Julia's age. That's a jumper underneath. Yep, it's cold in the office.

Pink collared peplums, short skirts, and oooh, beige sneaks. The good thing about dressing up kids is that you can go with the most unusual mixes, and they still end up pretty cute.

Like this for instance. I haven't EVER donned stripes and polka all at the same time. But this pretty much works for me. I was aiming for kpop here. But for some reason, Julia's looked kinda like winter. :D

Playsuits, playsuits, playsuits! and the print! Love!
You see this is why this blog's title sort of just popped up. Here's Julia sporting her favorite crop top. And it says: You can call me Princess.
Yes. Sure.
What a Diva. :)

Diary 1: Flashback to My Favorite Jelai Looks

My 4-year-old loves clothes. I am lucky she has a generous lola ninang, who keeps balikbayan boxes filled to the brim with little girls' clothes. She always gets excited when we try on each of them too. So, we both look forward to a weekend of mix-and-match. Here are my faves:
Love this dainty skirt! This actually comes with two tops in blue green. But today we went with a blue green crop top I picked out from an online store that coincidentally matches this lovely skirt.

I was told that Jelai looked a whole lot like her Dad. I was actually wondering what she would look like wearing the kinds of clothes he wears. Sporting a white tee (hello kitty, no less), loose straight cut denims, dark blue kicks, Daddy's RayBans and looking like a little rockstar! Yup, I've proved it. She's definitely prettier than her Dad :)
I have a thing for Boho Chic. Found this cardi in Mango Kids and we just fell in love with it (she wouldn't let go).
We love playsuits. They're comfy and pretty and cute all at the same time. Need I say more?
I was aiming for Kpop. Longsleeved shirt, one of her favorite skirts, knee high socks and her sneakers.

Black knee highs, yellow dress and ribbons. She was mad because I was bugging her for a picture hahaha

This is her signature pose. Looking dainty in all white - with a touch of pink. :)
Gaaah. Too many photos. :D

My First Time

Thanks to a friend, I've finally considered doing this to make use of both my kids' love for the camera and well, to make sure every bit of happiness is documented. This is my first blog... EVER. And I think this seems like a pretty good way to de-stress. So I'd like to introduce you to two of my favorite things:
These are Jelai and Julia and they are the loves of my life.
This one is my little adventurer.
She loves the outdoors, likes to play under the rain, doesn't mind the scorching heat, and enjoys ziplining (only the ones meant for kids!)
This one is my cutie pie:
The typical baby. The spoiled one. The sweet one. The doll I've always liked to play with.

This is what they look like now.
They are my two tiny fashionistas, my favorite things. The ones with little feet, who will be flooding this whole blog in the next few months, years, decades. :D
